Position Overview
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Strategist with a strong grasp of Klaviyo, eCommerce fundamentals, and email lifecycle strategy. You’ll own the planning, execution, and performance of email flows and campaigns for a portfolio of Shopify-based brands. You’ll also collaborate and manage designers and copywriters to bring strategy to life while monitoring data to improve results.
Requirements & Experience
3+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably at an agency or DTC brand
Proficient in Klaviyo: segmentation, automations, A/B testing, reporting, scheduling, etc.
Strong understanding of the customer journey and email lifecycle (welcome, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, etc.)
Ability to build and optimize flows, manage campaigns, and troubleshoot issues inside Klaviyo
Familiarity with Shopify, Facebook, Google, and basic paid/organic channel integration
Data-savvy: Able to interpret performance metrics like open rate, CTR, revenue per recipient, etc.
Comfortable managing multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and organizational skills so you can confidently own your department’s role in client calls
Ability to lead team of copywriters and designers
Klaviyo (hands-on building + reporting): 2 years (Preferred)
Email lifecycle strategy (flows & campaigns): 3 years (Preferred)
Shopify (with Klaviyo integration): 1 year (Preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities
Lead strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing for assigned DTC clients
Build and manage flows in Klaviyo, including segmentation, logic, triggers, and automation
Plan and schedule weekly campaigns, manage content calendars, and QA all emails before send
Collaborate with copywriters and designers to ensure campaigns align with brand voice and goals
Report on performance and recommend improvements based on data - given to Email Manager and Client
Conduct regular audits of client accounts to ensure best practices are being followed
Stay on top of email marketing trends, industry updates, and platform innovations
Support in cross-functional planning with paid media and creative teams to ensure cohesive retention strategies
